Project Achievements Summary
Nkasi & Sumbawanga District Councils – Lyambalyamfipa Landscape, Rukwa Region Project Reach & Beneficiaries

▪ Implemented across 2 District Councils (Nkasi & Sumbawanga)
▪ Covered 18 villages out of 136 adjacent to the Lyambalyamfipa landscape
▪ Reached 11,720 community members, including 3,516 women

Capacity Building & Climate Awareness
▪3,000 Farmers trained on:
Natural Resources Management (NRM)
Climate-smart & sustainable farming
Post-harvest handling and farming as a business Collective market access and Social Accountability Monitoring (SAM) Result: Improved productivity, resilience, and climate adaptation capacity Environmental Restoration & Tree Planting

100,000 trees planted including:
25,000 fruit trees – for nutrition & stunting reduction
50,000 restoration trees – for catchment conservation
25,000 timber trees – as income sources
Result: Improved ecosystem health, soil fertility, and biodiversity
Land Tenure Security & Access to Finance
▪ 18 inclusive VLUPs developed
▪ 20,000 CCROs issued (out of 30,000 targeted)
▪ trengthene lan rights → farmers use CCROs as collateral to access input financing Example: Sakalilo AMCOS accessed TZS 100 million from NMB Bank PLC
